Selma Vidimlić Husić

Selma is from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She studied Geography and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo. As a child and teenager, she spent most of her time in nature, which sparked her interest in Geography. She has a great passion for protecting nature and making our cities greener and more sustainable, which is why Urban Planning was the perfect choice for her. During her time at university, she started learning GIS and fell in love with cartography. Her main interest lies in doing something that will be beneficial for all those who strive to make a positive impact on our planet using GIS open source technologies. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and cooking meals from different cultures. And when it snows in Sarajevo, she will definitely make use of it by going skiing.
